About Me

Hey I’m Chloe, I’m an abstract artist from Australia. I’ve decided to start a blog to showcase my artworks. I’ve always been a creative person, I originally developed my techniques with simple pens and paper and worked up to acrylic paint on MDF board and finally canvas panels.

I’ve been creating paintings in my current style for about 5 years now, originally for art class in high school. For me painting is a relaxation tool, it’s the only time I truly feel calm. I have a very active mind, I’ve always enjoyed challenging that but whilst painting I seem to get a break from thinking. All the patterns I create whilst painting flow out of me, it’s very organic.

I’m inspired by many things such as flowers, make up, colours, nature. I think beauty can be found in pretty much anything. I really love bright colours, I’m always drawn in by anything bright.
I’ve always been a fan of artists like Van Gogh, Piscasso and Pollack, but I’m also amazed by Dutch masters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer.
